Summary


Do you have excellent interpersonal skills? Are you flexible, approachable and a team player?

If so our friendly Cytology Clerical team are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, to join our busy team to assist with the day to day running of the Cytology office at the Royal Derby Hospital.

A good standard of English to O level/GCSE or equivalent is required and RSA/OCR level III WP/typing or equivalent knowledge and skills.

Experience working in a support secretary role and familiarisation of medical terminology is desirable.

A good knowledge of IT systems and excellent communication skills are also essential for this role.
• Work alongside the Admin Team Leader to ensure timely and effective workflow within the department.
• Work within a small team of administrative staff.
• Support with preparation of meetings and minute taking
• Effectively communicate with external users and agencies in association with requirements of the NHS Cervical Screening Programme
• Support the Laboratory / Clinical team with administrative duties
• Input test results and understand patient management processes in relation to NHSCSP
• Confidently use IT systems
