Our Net Zero & Sustainability Manager will collaborate closely with Mitie Facilities Management, Mitie Plan Zero and the customer to support their transition to NetZero.

Your role will be instrumental in overseeing the net zero strategy to deliver projects, track progress and guide the customer to help them accomplish their NetZero and sustainability objectives.

As the central point of contact, you'll champion NetZero, sustainability, and energy initiatives across the portfolio. This includes reducing kWh usage. You'll identify and support energy-saving opportunities, carbon reduction projects, and innovative solutions.

Additionally, you'll establish strong client relationships, oversee sustainability projects, and collaborate with customers to set energy and carbon reduction objectives. Your role is pivotal in driving positive environmental impact.

What we are looking forSuitably qualified and experienced, you should be a sustainability or energy manager (or similar role). Ideally, you hold a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline. Professional accreditations related to sustainability, net-zero, or energy (such as Chartership or IEMA) would be advantageous.

Familiarity with IES building simulation software is a plus. Your passion for sustainability and commitment to reducing carbon emissions are essential. You should have a strong understanding of sustainability frameworks, environmental regulations, and net-zero principles.

Excellent project management and leadership skills are crucial for success. Experience in project management and facilities management would be beneficial.

You've successfully managed teams or individuals to achieve common goals. Interacting with senior customer stakeholders and decision-makers is part of your skill set.

As a self-starter, you're adept at working independently, and your track record includes developing and implementing effective sustainability strategies. Additionally, having a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI) and a keen interest in ongoing learning and development rounds out your qualifications.
