Haddon Primary and Nursery School are looking to appoint an aspirant leader to provide high quality, supportive, engaging, teaching for the pupils in our school. This unique opportunity will combine class teacher responsibility with the support to grow and develop as a school leader. You would be joining an exceptional and supportive team of professionals, who are committed to our mission to make every day count for the children.
As well as taking on full class teacher responsibility, we are seeking to appoint someone who aspires to lead English and early reading across the school. During your first year in post, alongside taking on full class teacher responsibility, we will support you on your leadership journey to help you gain and develop the skills needed to take on a key leadership role within our school the following academic year. We will assess both your needs and areas of interest and put in place a package of support which may include CPL, access to national professional qualifications, mentoring and shadowing. Significant additional release time will be provided to enable you to access this learning and reflect on your development as a leader.

Your core duties will be:•To be a leader in a classroom and ensure every day counts for all children in your care.•Be relentless in your pursuit to provide an excellent education for all.•To lead a foundation subject in your first year in post and a core subject (likely English and Early reading) after that.•Fulfil the professional responsibilities of a teacher, as set out in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.•Meet the expectations set out in the Teachers’ Standards.
