Company client is currently going through a period of significant growth, we are now looking to recruit a team of Stress Engineers at signatory level. Our current team is built upon our 16+ years of Aircraft Repair Engineering heritage, designing, analysing, approving and delivering minor and major primary and secondary structural repairs.
Our Repair Stress Engineers work closely with our clients to ensure all requirements are met on time, in full, whilst continuously maintaining Belcan high standards of quality and service. We are looking for a committed team who will work with our designers to provide hand calculations and technical documentation to support repairs with short turnarounds, to get Aircraft flying safely again.
Candidates with a firm understanding of structural design and repairs supported by experience of hand calculations or an analysis software (ANSYS, NASTRAN, PATRAN or similar) is essential. You will also understand the importance of airworthiness standards and be clear on the importance of short turnarounds. Experience of a signatory level or previous experience within checking/approving stress is essential.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
* MEng / BEng Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering Degree (or equivalent) preferred although any candidates with the right experience will be considered.
* Proven experience of Stress Analysis at Signatory level
* A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.
* A good command of technical English, both written and verbal, is essential.
* We are looking for sharp minded individual, a solid understanding of lightweight structures together with structural design experience is essential.
* Must have Excellent PC skills, including high level proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets.
