Summary
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Martial Arts Instructor to join our team to work alongside the lead instructor. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals who aspire to learn the art of self-defence, discipline, and personal growth. As part of our commitment to the safety and wellbeing of our students, we require a valid DBS check along with safeguarding, coaching and first aid qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting martial arts classes for individuals of various age groups and skill levels.
- Delivering engaging and structured training sessions planned by the lead instructor.
- Ensuring the safety of all participants by implementing appropriate martial arts techniques and enforcing safety regulations.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters teamwork, self-confidence, and mutual respect.
- Tracking and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and tailoring instruction to meet individual needs.
- Collaborating with other instructors and staff to develop and execute training programs and events.
Essential entry requirements
- Valid DBS check required or willing to apply before appointment
- Safeguarding qualifications or be willing to acquire them before appointment.
- First aid qualifications or be willing to acquire them before appointment.
- Coaching qualifications or be willing to acquire them before appointment.
- Proven experience and proficiency in martial arts
- Strong teaching and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Flexible availability required for teaching sessions, with opportunities to contribute in additional events.
- Previous experience working with diverse age groups and adapting instruction accordingly.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment.
