Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is a 53-year-old gentleman that lives in the Marske by the Sea who is looking to recruit a Care Assistant to provide 25.5 hours of support over Monday to Saturday with all aspects of daily living.
Our client has a condition which means his muscles have lost tone and strength which impacts his co-ordination of his limbs.
Main duties:
Personal care: Support with washing and dressing. Support with administering medication.
Domestic duties: Support with grocery shopping, cooking, and serving nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with SALT guidelines, support to eat, and keeping the home environment clean and tidy due to having no immune system.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.

Specific requirements: someone with previous care & support experience. Our client would like a mature care assistant.
Hours of work: 25.5 hours – Monday to Saturday –
Monday – Thursday – 4 hours per day
Friday – 3.5 hours
Saturday – 3 hours

Rate of pay: £12.21 per hour.

Essential:
driving licence
car and appropriate insurance
previous care & support experience
confidentiality
good at building relationships
Preferred:
good communicator
a good listener
ability to support people with complex care needs
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
