Summary
This is to recruit 2 full time Consultant Rheumatologists to join a Dorset-wide Rheumatology team. These posts will be based at Christchurch and Dorset County Hospital and the successful candidate will work in partnership with our substantive consultant team in Poole and Dorset County Hospitals. Together we deliver a full range of Rheumatology services to Dorset residents and parts of neighbouring counties from 3 well-resourced units at Christchurch Hospital, Poole Hospital and Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester.
The successful candidate will be joining a team of specialty consultants at a very exciting time as the Department expands following the merger of Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals (RBCH) and Poole Hospital (PGH) to become University Hospitals Dorset (UHD) and the extension of this to cover Dorset County Hospital.
The main purpose of the post is to support the provision of highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement. The Appointees will undertake clinics at Christchurch hospital and at Dorset county. This will also include acute ward management at Bournemouth Hospital.
Our values define who we are as #TeamUHD. They underpin everything we do now and in the future. They define how we treat our patients, visitors, and each other, our valued teammates and colleagues.
UHD are investing in services across the Trust, with many being transformed and developed following merger and the New Hospital Programme.
This means that some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or long term. Recruiting Managers interviewing for this role will be happy to answer any specific questions that you have at interview.
To understand the role in more detail please read the full job description and person specification documents which are attached to this advert.
