Summary


A unique opportunity has arisen for a 8 Month secondment/fixed term as Assistant People Partner in our Corporate Service People Operations team (HR). In this role, you will provide a generalist HR service to Divisional customers, reporting to the Senior Assistant HR Business Partner for objective setting, direction and support.

You will demonstrate that you can lead the co-ordination of a number of workforce projects to ensure effective delivery in line with Trust strategic objectives. This includes supporting workforce planning and coordinating organisational change management programmes through effective partnership working to achieve positive outcomes.

You will be confident in your operational HR knowledge and critical reasoning skills and will bring a systematic and organised approach to introducing new work practices and policies.

You will also be confident in your understanding of employment law, have experience of handling a range of employee relations issues, able to proactively coach and support customers with people management policies and be confident to lead on a dedicated work stream.

The Assistant People Partner is responsible for leading and supporting the co-ordination of a number of workforce projects to ensure effective delivery in line with Trust strategic objectives.

Planning and Strategy
1. To contribute towards the delivery of workforce plans.
2. Proactively monitor overall project progress, manage inter dependencies, resolve issues and implement corrective action as appropriate.
3. Define and develop business cases associated with projects.
4. Ensure the integrity of the allocated projects, focusing on internal consistency, its alignments with strategic objectives and interface with other projects.
5. Supporting the analysis of employee feedback, including staff survey and staff family and friends results to identify key priorities, leading and assisting in the implementation of agreed actions.

Workforce Planning
1. Working closely with the Human Resources Business Partner and Senior Managers supporting with resourcing and retention issues.
2. Working with the Workforce System team to analyse data and identify trends, proposing a range of options and solutions.
3. Lead or assist on projects associated or arising from workforce planning.

Organisational Change
1. To work with the Human Resources Business Partner and Senior Managers on leading the design, development, planning and implementation of service changes.
2. To provide expert advice to managers on the interpretation and implementation of the Organisational Design, Flexibility and Change policy.
3. Work alongside senior managers to facilitate team development, transforming them into high performing teams in line with the Quality Schedule.
4. Working in partnership with managers to develop leadership skills through associated projects.

Partnership Working
1. To act as the project support/lead on the planning, implementation and evaluation of workforce projects to help achieve overall aims and objectives.
2. Actively facilitate partnership working to ensure the successful delivery of outcomes and benefits of projects, promoting a whole system approach, working across boundaries, agencies and professions.
3. Liaise with staff as required and at all levels to ensure project delivery.
4. Successfully communicate complex and sensitive information relating to projects.

Training and Development
1. Redesigning and implementing policies and procedures to ensure effective and robust processes which embed the Trust values.
2. To design and deliver training on policy and procedures, aligned to the Quality Schedule to ensure best practice.
3. To assist in promoting a positive learning and personal development culture.

Employee Relations
1. Work collaboratively with the Employee Relations Advisor Team and assist with ER case management, if required, when escalated through the HR Business Partner
2. To support managers in ensuring that actions plans are developed and implemented to maximise staff engagement.
3. To work with managers, staff and trade union representatives to promote a culture of engagement and healthy employee relations.
