Summary


The Neurociences team at Charing Cross Hospital are looking for a Theatre Scheduler and Waiting List Coordinator to join our friendly, dynamic and patient-centred team within the Neurosurgery department.

The hours are 37.5 per week - Monday to Friday.

As a Theatre Scheduler and Waiting List Coordinator, you will be responsible for scheduling inpatient admissions in a timely manner in line with the Trust Access Policy. You will monitor the waiting lists and validate regularly to ensure that patient details are correct.

• To ensure that standard operating procedures for Admissions are processed and booked in line with the Trust Access Policy. This requires both timely and accurate input of data onto the Patient Administration System (PAS) and other electronic and paper systems as require
• To respond to and deal with a variety of often complex booking requests in a timely manner, whether by telephone or in person, ensuring that patients are booked according to clinical priority and the Trust Access Policy taking into account both patients’ choice and the need to ensure that slots are not wasted
• Scheduling patients in urgency and referral to treatment (RTT) order
• To work on a rotational basis covering the Theatre Scheduling Team telephones, dealing with enquiries, providing directions and booking appointments and admissions as required
• To contribute to the planning and implementation of change within the Theatre Scheduling Team.
