Summary

Registered Manager - Children & Young People
Location: Chorlton, M16
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum + BONUS
Hours: 40 hours per week

Our client is based in the M16 area of Greater Manchester and they are seeking a Residential Manager who has previous experience working in a residential setting and shares our commitment to creating a positive and safe living environment. The Residential Manager will be responsible for the supervision of all staff on the site, including activities such as employee scheduling, training, personal development and more.
Responsibilities will include:
· Always behave in a professional manner with sensitivity, dignity and respect towards children, staff, other professionals and service users in accordance with the role of the Registered Manager.
· Ensure the highest standards of care takes place at all times / Establishing and monitoring high quality standards of care.
· Ensuring that each young person has a plan which reflects his / her care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs and that this plan is regularly reviewed.
· Developing systems in which young people are consulted about the quality of care they receive.
· Devise and implement individual and team learning and development plans in conjunction with professional and organisational requirements.
· Ensure all policies and procedures in relation to children, staff, and others (professionals & visitors) are promoted.
· Ensure that confidentiality is always maintained in respect of organisational policies in respect of children and staff
Person Specification:
· Level 5 Management qualification or working towards it is essential.
· Ability to undertake Ofsted Registration Process.
· Childcare legislation and Safeguarding knowledge.
· Understanding the needs of complex children and young people
· Ability to manage challenging behaviour.
· 2 years recent experience working with children in a residential care setting
· At least 2 years at management level in residential care
