Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Dental Nurse with GDC registration, to join our hardworking team within the Oral, Orthodontic & Maxillofacial Surgery Outpatients, at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust's Broomfield Hospital site.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated qualified Dental Nurse to work within our busy Outpatient Department on a permanent basis. The post is for 15 hours working over 2 days, with the need to be flexible.

The successful candidate will work closely with the whole team to develop and continue their skills.

Duties will include:
• Working within a mixed role multidisciplinary team
• Preparing clinical areas and specialist equipment
• Assisting in minor oral surgery, minor Maxillofacial surgery, and orthodontics treatments
• Assisting in clinics for patients with Head and Neck Cancers, TMJ conditions, Facial deformity and complex dental treatment.
• Assisting and maintaining efficient and effective care for patients in line with best practice and current guidelines
• Self-motivation and excellent communication skills

• Chaperoning and Assisting clinicians in consultation and treatment clinics this includes minor oral surgery and orthodontic procedures
• supporting the other dental nurses.
• adhering to infection prevention polices and ensuring a high standard of cross infection is maintained
• preparing clinical notes for the session
• Maintain and rotate stock levels.
• communicating and supporting other supporting services within the unit.
• providing patients with pre and post operative instructions related to the treatment undertaken.
