Summary


**the candidate must have previous experience in the NHS in an acute setting and hold full BSE accreditation **

To provide essential specialist expertise in Echocardiography. This post will require flexible working within the Trust, working at the North Tees site, in the community at Lawson street and at the Hartlepool site as required.

Previous independent scanning in an acute NHS trust is essential.

Opportunity has arisen to join the Echocardiography team in the Cardiac Investigations Unit (CIU) at North tees and Hartlepool trust.

The CIU provides a range of non- invasive services such as; Echo (simple and complex) ambulatory monitoring and device follow up. The unit works closely with the Cardiology Day unit which carries out invasive angiography, device implants, transoesophageal echo and cardioversions.

Exciting opportunities are ahead which will require enthusiasm, flexibility and somebody who enjoys the challenges of problem solving and working under pressure with the ability to cope with changing demands of the directorate. The post is subject to a satisfactory CRB Disclosure.

As a fully accredited BSE accredited echocardiographer be able to independently perform echo on both inpatients and outpatients to a high standard, at all trust sites. To provide structured, clear and accurate reports on echocardiograms. To undertake additional band 7 duties to drive a high quality service developing scanning and reporting.

Liaise with other physiologists to facilitate a seamless programme of care to patients and service to medical staff.

Extended role as required including contrast and stress echo, TOE and specialist valve clinics.

Demonstrate regular formal evaluation and participation in QA.

To assess images accurately and create a clear and concise accurate report on the electronic reporting platform . To undertake additional band 7 duties to drive a high quality service developing scanning and reporting.

Demonstrate regular formal evaluation and participation in QA.
