Job Role: Targeted Support Worker
Salary: £24,500 per year
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract type: Fixed Term Contract, until March 2025.
Location: Shepton Mallet, Mendip
Additional information:
- A valid license and access to a vehicle
- Generally working Monday to Friday, but must have flexibility to work evenings, and weekends on occasions depending on the needs of the project

The Role:
The Targeted Support Worker will play a crucial role in offering guidance and assistance to vulnerable tenants with complex needs, particularly those who have a history of rough sleeping. Your main focus will be to establish and maintain strong personal connections with tenants, aiming to enhance engagement, overcome obstacles, and prevent tenancy breaches.

You can expect to manage a caseload of up to ten clients, although this number may vary slightly depending on the complexity of cases.

Responsibilities include:
- Conducting needs assessments of at-risk and vulnerable tenants
- Provide and coordinate effect support, advice and assistance to tenants to ensure that they can maintain their tenancies
- Supporting tenants to access support, care and health services
- Maintain regular contact with tenants, implementing the support plans and undertaking appropriate support actions
- Provide case studies and reports on outcomes within the service

Qualifications / Requirements:
- A valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle - business insurance will be required for roles involving travel to work
- Experience working with vulnerable adults with complex needs and/or challenging behaviours
- Understanding of benefits and housing benefits systems
