Apprentice​ Quantity Surveyor

Location- Stoke on Trent – ST1 5SH

Our Quantity Surveyor Apprenticeship programme provides you with the skills and personal development you need in an environment where you can thrive and achieve your potential, following a learning & development journey that will support you over a period of time to eventually become a qualified Quantity Surveyor.

What you can expect:

As a qualified Quantity Surveyor here at Novus, your role would typically be working alongside a commercial team to support in facilitating the successful running of works within our Interiors teams

We have two opportunities available

One delivering Fast track Hotel and Education Fit Out programs
The second, one off Major Project refurbishments across all our sectors, Social Housing, Retail, Leisure, Health, Education and Hotels
Both of these opportunities deliver works across the UK
The skills you would learn throughout your apprenticeship would include;.

Contractual and Financial - Managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of projects within a given budget including:
Supply of works
Goods
Materials.
Risk avoidance
Procurement- Assisting the selection of and negotiation with specialist contractors for a project
Stakeholder Management​– Developing and maintaining relationships with Colleagues and Sub Contractors and clients including supporting in client meetings
Teamwork​– The role will give you the skills and abilities to not only be part of a team but to play an active role within a busy team whilst learning on the job from a team of established, experienced, friendly Quantity Surveying professionals.
About you;

You will need a GCSE in Maths and English (Grades A* to C/4-9) and be qualified to A Level standard or equivalent, along with a passion for learning, a great work ethic and a real can-do approach to everything you do.

You will initially work towards a Construction HNC processing to a Quantity Surveying Apprenticeship Degree If you are already studying towards a Construction Quantity Surveying HNC you could still be eligible to apply for this opportunity.

The selection process will include;

First stage- Application review, where we will review and score your answers to the questions asked as part of the application process.
Second stage- Our Resourcing team will conduct a short telephone interview.
Final stage Assessment centre being held on Wednesday 15th May 2024 (if selected you would need to be available on this date)
