Summary

Permanent contract with 90 day probation period

Two vacancies. Hours can be structured to between 16 to 38 hours per week to suit applicant’s situation.

Pay rate: £16.00 per hour.

Location: Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne




Recruiting two Personal Care Assistants to be part of a team of PA’s providing support my 18 year old autistic son who has profound learning difficulties and is non-verbal.

Working hours can be flexible, however, in most weeks there will be at least one overnight shift of 12 to 6 hours. Overnight support will be part sleeping/part awake as my son has night time epilepsy and sleeps poorly requiring an adult to be in attendance in an adjacent room at all times.

Main duties will be to support my son with personal care, meal preparation, assistance with feeding, daily living tasks and providing 1:1 support when taking him into the community to engage in leisure activities such as walks, bowling, swimming and eating out.

A clean driving licence and have access to a car is preferred but not essential.
