Daffodil, Liverpool’s newest waterfront destination aboard the historic MV Royal Daffodil ferry, is preparing for an exciting launch. We offer an exclusive dining experience, combining the charm of our maritime heritage with contemporary culinary trends. As we gear up for opening, we seek a dedicated Breakfast Manager to oversee our morning and early afternoon service.



Job Description:

The Breakfast Manager will be responsible for leading and managing our breakfast and early afternoon small plates services, including weekend brunch and afternoon tea. This role requires an individual with a passion for culinary excellence and a talent for creating an inviting and memorable dining experience. You will play a critical role in our daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, food quality, and customer satisfaction.



Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the breakfast and early afternoon small plates service, ensuring operational efficiency and high-quality standards - including for pre-order click and collect items.

Manage and coordinate weekend brunch and afternoon tea services, creating an engaging and enjoyable, relaxed atmosphere for guests.

Effectively schedule staff, monitor booking trends and collaborate with the Marketing Team to drive customer footfall and hit operational targets.

Lead, train and motivate the breakfast team to provide exceptional service.

Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and seamless service.

Develop and update breakfast, brunch and afternoon tea menus and their presentation; in collaboration with the culinary team; ensuring variety and innovation.

Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and controlling costs.

Ensure adherence to health and safety standards.

Address guest feedback, ensuring a positive dining experience.

Analyse and report on breakfast service performance, making recommendations for improvements.



Qualifications:

Proven experience in a similar role within a quality restaurant or hotel.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.

Passionate about food and beverage service, with a particular focus on breakfast and brunch offerings - experience in delivering afternoon tea and small plates operations will be preferred.

Good knowledge of current culinary trends, especially in breakfast and brunch dining.

Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
