Summary

This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality, premium experiences for our clients.



Job Description:

As the Sales & Events Manager, you will be responsible for handling all sales and event inquiries, with a particular focus on utilising our event space for private functions such as weddings, corporate events, dining experiences, live events and cultural programmes. You will work closely with the Reservations Managers and various departmental managers to ensure seamless execution of customer bookings. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Business Development Manager to coordinate the external promotion of Daffodil's facilities and services with seamless internal operational delivery.



Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all aspects of sales and event planning, from initial inquiry to execution.

Coordinate with the Reservations team to manage bookings for the bar/restaurant and outdoor decks, especially during peak summer months.

Develop and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction with our event offerings.

Collaborate with the Business Development Manager for the promotion and marketing of the venue's event capabilities.

Coordinate technical aspects, catering, and bar operations for events.

Recruit, manage, and supervise event staff teams, including ad-hoc sessional workers like sound engineers.

Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to meet unique event requirements.

Foster and manage relationships with local companies and suppliers.

Ensure all events comply with health, safety, and licensing regulations.

Monitor and manage event budgets and financial performance.



Qualifications:

Proven experience in event management, particularly in a hospitality or similar setting.

Strong sales skills and the ability to meet and exceed targets.

Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under pressure.

Experience in coordinating with various departments and external suppliers.

Creative problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

Knowledge of the local hospitality and events industry.

Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
