Summary
We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for an innovative, enthusiastic and highly motivated Cardiac Physiologist to join our dynamic and friendly CRM team at Dorset County Hospital.

We are looking for an experienced Cardiac Physiologist to join our CRM team as we develop new physiologist led services, developments in Cardiac Rhythm Management including the expansion of our remote monitoring services and Conduction Pacing.
In this role you will be undertake the following duties independently and without supervision:
Perform 12-lead ECG recording. Fit ambulatory ECG and BP monitors. Interpret an report Holter tape analysis. Act as lead physiologist during Exercise Tolerance Testing, perform haemodynamic monitoring in the catheter lab during angiography and PCI procedures including but not limited to, left and right heart catheterisations, CTO, Primary PCU and pressure wire studies. To act as lead physiologist during Brady pacemaker implant, act as the assisting physiologist in the pacemaker and ICD follow-up clinics. To participate in the PCI on-call rota (not 24/7)
To develop skills and experience in CRT-P, CRT-D and ICD implants and follow-up.
You will also be required to assist in developing protocols and implementing policy/service development within own area of activity on a departmental level.
We actively support continuing professional development, including IBHRE/BHRS. We also encourage and support attendance at relevant training courses and at both national and regional meetings.
At Dorset County Hospital we perform Coronary Angiography and intervention, providing a primary PCI service during normal hours (not 24/7). We have two cath labs where we implant brady and complex devices including ICDs and CRT.
There is ample opportunity to get involved in developments within the department.
The successful applicant will be a self-motivated Cardiac Physiologist who is organised, flexible and reliable. You will assist in providing high quality , patient centred care.
You will be expected to maintain your own clinical professional development with support and encouragement from the department. Keeping up to date with emerging evidence and current guidelines.
You will be expected to be part of the rescue PCI service.
