Summary
The North Warwickshire Community Mental Health Team is a newly formed team comprising of both The Recovery Team and The Community Mental Health & Wellbeing Team.
Our Team covers the locality of North Warwickshire & Rugby. We have two bases, one in Nuneaton and the other in Rugby and although you would be based in a particular location for expenses purposes, you are part of one large team, and you will get the opportunity to work across both localities with different colleagues.
Working within an established team, you’ll be working with clients who have complex mental health problems and delivering a range of time limited, evidence based recovery focused interventions. As a successful candidate you will be given the opportunity to build your skills and confidence in working with individuals and within group settings in order to facilitate personal recovery, social inclusion and promote independence. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and communicating with a wide variety of clients; professionals; partners and agencies.
Working for our Team is demanding and hard work but incredibly rewarding. It offers the opportunity to develop some excellent skills and take part in imaginative and effective interventions. The nature of the team means that you bring your knowledge, experience, enthusiasm and empathy, and gain valuable knowledge and skills from other team members in order to promote development of your own practice. We are a team that recognises the work we do can be difficult at times and have a strong supportive approach. We believe in developing good practice and sharing management of risk whilst acknowledging any personal impact. Despite the demands of the role our team offers a lively, humorous and supportive environment.
To be considered for this role you MUST have significant experience of working with people with complex and significant mental health difficulties. It’s important you have strong communication skills and you can work on your own initiative as well as collaboratively with colleagues. In addition to delivering practical interventions some knowledge and understanding of basic cognitive behavioural approaches would be beneficial, and the willingness and enthusiasm to learn new skills is vital. An ability to manage difficult or stressful situations is needed, but you will be supported throughout your time with the team and we will invest time and energy in developing your Support Time & Recovery worker skills. Demonstrating personal resilience and a sense of humour is essential within our supportive and innovative team
