Summary

Job Title: Out of Hours Assistant
Location: Norwich
Duration: 6 months FTC

Salary:

  • £150 per day (24hour period): Saturday and Sunday 0900 - 0900
  • £35 per night: Monday-Friday 1700 - 0900

Hours:

  • Min 1 weekend (Fri 1700 - Mon 0900) per month - Max 2 per month
  • Additional weekday/weekend cover as required

Your role at Prestige:

We are looking for a dynamic and independent professional with solid care experience and a flexible, can-do attitude, with the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.

As part of the Branch Team you'll be responsible for answering calls out of office hours and responding to requests from our Clients, their families, Carers, and other professionals. Tasks may include, but not limited to, providing cover for a client due to late notice absence, documenting changes to a clients care needs on their Webroster record, contacting the district nurse hub to request intervention or advising clients of any delays or changes to their scheduled care. You will be required to be compliant as a carer in case an emergency arises and you are required to support until alternative cover can be sourced.

Reporting to the Branch Manager your role will include:

The role of Out Of Hours Assistant is to ensure safe, effective and responsive care continues for our clients outside of the normal office opening hours. To provide support and guidance to our carers Colleagues.

The success of this role will be measured by:

  • All calls to the branch are answered in a timely manner, responded to and logged succinctly.

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure all clients receive their scheduled care
  • To provide support and guidance to carers
  • Liaise with GP's/ district and Community nurses where required
  • Use Webroster to maintain and update notes relevant to carer or client
  • Answer all calls and respond to calls in a professional manner
  • Log all calls in detail on our system
  • Escalate any Safeguarding concerns or similar to the Regional On call

General Responsibilities:

  • Occasionally support with the day-to-day responsibilities of the team when required
  • Provide care to clients in emergency situations
  • Be a champion for internal customer service
  • Do any other reasonable things your manager needs you to do
