Summary


The Finance Team of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group has an opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to join the team as Finance Manager within the Group Income Team.

The role will support the Head of Income and the Senior Finance Manager in the timely and accurate reporting of the Trusts income and activity position.

The role will be integral in the delivery of the month end reporting timetable, working closely with colleagues to produce and accurate monthly financial position . The role will also support business case developments, being an initial contact for income based queries from within the organisation.

You will also support the income department in the process of meeting its objectives and assist in the preparation of budgetary and finance reports, and implementing procedures that enable effective financial management in order to maximise income generated.

Strong analytical and communication skills are key to the role, as is the ability to understand financial performance and to discuss these with finance and non-finance personnel. Advanced knowledge of IT, particularly Excel, would be advantageous to this role. You will also require a good understanding of the accounting function and should also be able to plan your workload in order to meet both strict and conflicting deadlines.

You will be a CCAB qualified accountant (actively studying finalists will be considered and encouraged to apply), with significant experience within a management accounting function.
