Company client has joined forces with a leading engineering and maintenance provider, supporting customers across the chemical & petrochemical, nuclear, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals & biopharma, power & energy, utilities, renewables, and food & beverage markets.
They are looking to add to their highly competent workforce of over 4,500 employees with an exciting opportunity for a Bid Manager in Warrington.
Job Role
As a Bid Manager you will support the bid process with preliminary reviews of enquiries, participate in and lead meetings, and follow up actions to facilitate making appropriate bid decisions. You will work together with other members of the team to manage proposals including essential details such as cost estimates, materials, and project schedules.
Main Responsibilities:
Your responsibility as a Bid Manager will involve acting as a proposal lead, reviewing all client documentation, and summarising opportunity requirements (e.g. scope of work, timing, contract, and commercial model).
As a Bid Manager you will assist in the development and review of estimate and pricing to confirm strategy met and appropriate due diligence applied.
* Work with Pre-Contract Commercial to develop appropriate set of contractual comments.
* Collaborate with Sales / Business Development (BD) for the proposal and towards the client.
* Follow up submission to maintain engagement with the client, address clarifications and secure the work.
Experience & Qualifications:
The successful candidate will need to have relevant experience in an operational delivery role in similar industries, scopes, and scales of work. You will have experience in complex proposals and relevant technical knowledge and experience.
* Experienced in creating / presenting documents for high impact communication.
* Experience of estimating, cost control or similar (creating, reviewing)
* Contractual experience (managing / reviewing contracts)
