Are you the right person for the job?
Education and Experience:
• Any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge and abilities
• Must have experience in international freight forwarding and logistics, including experience in a sales development position
Skills/Qualifications:
• Computer literate, knowledge of CargoWise 1 is useful
• Excellent business sales and marketing skills
• Strong negotiation and customer service skills
• Excellent communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills
• Good network and strong presence in the market
• Highly motivated, energetic, disciplined, and excellent presentation skills
• Understanding of the industry
• Must have own car/vehicle and full UK driver’s licence – business milage paid
• Full valid UK passport as travel may be required
What will your role look like?
Sales Leadership:
• Lead Sales Initiatives in the assigned territory/country.
• Promote and sell all Group services.
• Develop short and long-term strategies aligned with overall business goals.
• Implement sales strategies in line with business unit targets.
• Ensure compliance with Global Sales initiatives through accurate data entry in the corporate sales system.
• Establish a dynamic sales pipeline for sustained business growth.
• Acquire, retain, and grow market and customer share.
• Provide insights to improve sales performance, and customer retention, and identify growth opportunities.
• Support Office Manager on product development initiatives, including strategy, launching, and marketing of existing and new services.
• Stay updated on industry developments, trends, and pricing indications in the local market.
• Collaborate with the Group Network to strengthen interoffice sales and business development.
Relationship Management:
• Establish and maintain productive relationships across various organisational levels
• Ensure win-win solutions/capabilities are developed to address customer needs
• The role may further include international travel where/when needed to close a client
Compliance and Reporting:
• Ensure compliance with corporate rules, regulations, and KPI attainment
• Review all SOPs/SIs with Product Business Units to ensure adherence to customer commitments
• Provide regular performance reports to the Office Manager on sales plans vs actual results
Expenses
• A reasonable minor entertainment allowance would be available, which is required to be liquidated every week
• Visits to Edinburgh or Glasgow could be covered by flight or car – whichever is most cost effective
