Doing Amazing Things Together

We’re all about possibilities. Are you?

Do you enjoy sports, are you a football or cricket fan? Do you enjoy being active? Love Swimming or walking? Maybe you can create imaginative craft projects, know where the best recipes are or are a TV soap enthusiast!

Become a Support Worker.

What matters to the people we support matters to us. It’s their life, their way.

You will be working in people’s homes, so it’s important you can connect, share interests and be interested and we are looking for support workers to join our teams in Abingdon supporting people with learning disabilities who enjoy everything from Baking, Music, dancing, sensory based activities and aromatherapy. They also enjoy being active and healthy, gardening and going for drives out.

So if you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you.

We have full time opportunities working shifts across the week and some weekends, including sleep in shifts.

Affinity Trust does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence

Why Join Us?

What will we do?

We will train you in everything you need to be a great Support Worker. We will apply and pay for your enhanced DBS, and we have a mentorship scheme in place to provide support and guide you on your journey with us.

We offer Wagestream - a money management app that gives you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it, access to coaching, vouchers, discounts, cashback and more.

You will be entitled to annual leave with the ability to buy additional leave.

Fully funded health cash plans giving you access to a 24 hour GP, money back on prescriptions, dental treatment, opticians and access to many more health benefits.

We provide a package of benefits that make it that bit easier to be your best and we can also support you to achieve a Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care and pursue a career that takes on more responsibility.

What will you do?

Supporting people is really important but it’s not all trips out and watching TV. We also support people to make healthy lifestyle choices and maintain their home in a way they feel safe, well and happy.

It sounds exciting to say no two days will be the same, but in support, sometimes they are. Sometimes people like routine and struggle with change… But when you support someone to try something new – what a feeling!

If you want to empower people to live the life they choose, and you share our values… Apply to become a Support Worker today.
