Summary
Starlight Unit is looking to recruit a permanent ward manager to lead our dedicated and highly skilled nursing team. Starlight Unit is a 38 bedded general paediatric ward, comprising of acute medical admissions with a separate HDU bay; a surgical and medical day case service and; an Observation and Assessment area. The successful applicant will be required to provide leadership to the nursing team with particular focus on patient safety, workforce management and quality improvement, working in conjunction with the matron and other members of the divisional leadership.
Flexible working will be considered.
As ward manager you will hold 24 hour responsibility for the ward area.
You will be responsible for workforce recruitment and retention, leading the ward through the improving quality agenda, responsible for patient safety and patient experience and staff wellbeing.
