Summary

• We are Manchester Local Care Organisation - an exciting, new public sector organisation that is bringing together NHS community health services and social care services in the city. We’re driven by the aim of improving the health of local people in Manchester by working across organisational boundaries

• We are looking to recruit a Band 3 Housekeeper to work in our Intermediate Care Unit, Buccleuch Lodge, based in Withington, Manchester. Although the Centre is a stand alone unit, the service sits within the Manchester Local Care Organisation in partnership with Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

• The unit delivers care to 14 inpatients of any age requiring a period of rehabilitation. We accept referrals from GPs, District Nurses, UHSM and CMFT inpatients. The main goal for each patient is to return home often with support through a package of care. Patients have very complex medical histories and so our care delivery has to be flexible to meet their needs.

• The role will include maintaining stock levels, introducing Well Organised Area to our environment, maintaining presentation, cleanliness of the area and Infection Prevention. We can offer you a friendly and supportive environment and provide continued professional development.

We offer excellent training opportunities and the chance to work in a dynamic team, which encourages development of staff.
