Our Building Services division provides complete Facilities Management of properties throughout the UK, providing mechanical and electrical engineering support, cleaning, catering and grounds maintenance on a planned and reactive basis, using technological solutions to manage our teams in the most efficient ways.

We are looking for a static M&E Multi Skilled Technician to join the Commercial Property Maintenance team on-site in Aldgate.

The purpose of the role will be to deliver on time, within budget, and in accordance with the Skanska Health & Safety policies and procedures planned and reactive maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems, infrastructure, heating and hot water installations, building services plant and equipment, as delegated by the Engineering Supervisors or Managers in support of the maintenance of the site.

You’ll:
Perform planned preventative maintenance, statutory compliance tasks and reactive works investigations/repairs on, but not limited to, the site electrical and mechanical systems and infrastructure on site
Service, test, diagnose and repair process control systems and automatic control devices related to the building services plant and equipment
Liaise and assist with other services as necessary for the efficient delivery of work activities, workmanship and productivity to comply with the performance standards
Use provided test and monitoring equipment for the purpose of maintaining engineering system operational performance and to aid fault diagnostics and repair, interrogate and adjust systems to maintain correct operation of plant and equipment
Participate in the site on-call out of hours rota as and when required and requested by Line Manager
Undertake any other tasks that may arise from time to time as required and directed by Line Manager or Supervisor


We’re looking for:
NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent (including recognised apprenticeship) with either an electrical or mechanical or building services bias
Working knowledge of other building services and trades
Excellent team working and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent communication and customer care skills
