Purpose of the Job:As a Multi Skilled Engineer, your primary aim is to undertake planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of Electrical and Mechanical Building Services equipment. This includes but is not limited to LV systems, lighting, heating boilers, pumps, and BMS systems, ensuring the smooth operation of commercial and industrial premises.Main Assignments:- Perform all allocated tasks promptly and professionally, adhering to safety protocols.- Undertake training and appointment as an AP/CP in relevant disciplines.- Proactively identify and report faults with building services equipment, taking steps to resolve issues.- Communicate effectively with Helpdesk colleagues and management regarding workflow and service failures.- Keep up to date with assigned training and assist in maintaining site filing and administration systems. Context and Main Issues:- Manage a variety of building systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, fire systems, and water quality management.- Address internal and external challenges related to building regulations, guidelines, and practices. Accountabilities:- Customer Focus: Make decisions with the customer in mind and add continued value to service delivery.- Planning & Organising: Prioritise and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.- Initiative: Apply knowledge and expertise to develop existing processes.- Teamwork: Collaborate well in a mix of client, in-house, and service partner environments.- Communication: Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
Job ProfileKnowledge, Skills, and Experience:- Electrically qualified multi-skilled engineer with C&G Level 3 & 18th edition.- Minimum 3 years of experience within a building services role, preferably in a corporate environment.- Experience in utilizing and diagnosing issues with Simmtronic lighting control systems.- Proficiency in using works order planning databases, such as Maximo.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive approach to learning.- Good awareness and understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices.- Minimum IOSH Working Safely or equivalent safety accreditation.- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and databases.- Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication with customers, clients, and staff.- Strong time management, organizational, and technical awareness skills.- Experience in issuing permits, writing risk assessments, and managing service contracts. Working Arrangement:
  • Working 4 Days, and 3 Days Off
  • Working 4 Days On will include some Saturday’s and will be 10 Hour workdays.
  • Shift Pattern (3): 06:00 to 16:00, 10:00 to 20:00, and 14:00 to 22:00, Saturdays 08:00 to 16:00
  • Call out rota: out of hours 1 in 6.
