Summary
The Role:
This role is to work in the workshop preparing the specialist materials for dispatch to the customers. The work is constant, with peaks of work required to fulfil orders on time. You will be using general workshop equipment to produce finished items to customer requirements. There are opportunities to learn additional skills e.g. preparation and packing, to both enhance your abilities and to be able to add more skills to the team.
Experience Required:
You will have worked in the workshop environment previously and have experience of working with lathes, mills, guillotines and similar equipment. You will need to understand engineering drawings, be able to complete the documentation and systems for each job you do. All team members need to take responsibility for safety in the workplace and to follow the Standard Working Policies to maintain safety for them and their colleagues.
As a senior member of the team, you will be involved in training new members and making sure the workshop runs smoothly and efficiently.
Production operates a Skills Award Framework where Operations Team Members can be trained in additional functions to their core role, which will attract an enhancement to their basic salary.
