Job Title: Data Protection Consultant & Trainer/Training Content Creator

We are seeking a dynamic individual for a full-time position of 37.50 hours, allowing for flexible scheduling. This role involves providing data protection consultancy and contributing to training material development.

Data Protection Consultant

Job Purpose: Provide guidance on data protection legal compliance to clients.

Reporting to: General Manager

Key Functions:

Manage services for clients, including compliance audits, training, policy development, and monitoring.
Collaborate on compliance projects with specific clients.
Independently manage schedules, attend client sites, and work remotely.
Document and report on client interactions and fulfill obligations.
Conduct research on privacy arrangements, technical aspects, legal cases, and guidance.
Conduct training sessions for clients on data protection.
Provide support to colleagues and trainees.
Engage in continuous professional development, including writing blogs and white papers.
Stay updated on relevant legal developments.
Contribute to the company's development and objectives.
Follow the consulting framework set by DPP.
Handle any other relevant duties as assigned.
Main Responsibilities:

Supporting the Consulting Team and Customers:

Attend client sites to engage and assist in achieving project objectives.
Prepare for client meetings and projects, sharing relevant documentation.
Conduct interviews and maintain accurate records.
Create documentation from meetings, findings, and observations.
Act professionally and with integrity, maintaining confidentiality.
Handle customer queries adhering to SLAs and DPP practices.
Follow up promptly on customer queries or requirements.
Trainer/Training Content Creator

Key Functions:

Deliver training sessions and develop engaging content tailored to client needs.
Review, maintain, and update existing courses for relevance and compliance.
Possess in-depth knowledge of Data Protection laws, UK GDPR, and EU GDPR.
Proven track record of effective training delivery in various settings.
Develop comprehensive training content aligned with instructional design principles.
Showcase examples of previous training sessions or courses developed.
Proactively review and update content to align with regulatory changes.
Ensure meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of content creation.
Adapt to changing priorities and demonstrate flexibility in content and delivery methods.
Willingness to travel and work from home, accommodating client needs.
Undertake additional tasks related to training or as assigned.
Efficiently manage time, record time and expenses, and support pre-sales efforts.
Engage in continuous professional development and stay aware of legal developments.
