Job Specification
Job Title: Business Development Executive (BDE) – Data Privacy
Job Purpose: Undertake a business development role on behalf of DPP to focus on developing and maintaining strong relationships within new sectors, regularly communicating with key business executives detailing progress daily, preparing sales reports/quotations and acting as a contact point for new clients. The successful candidate will liaise between customers and the consultancy team to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions and improve the customer experience.
Reporting to: Head of Sales and Marketing
Key Functions:
1. To expand the DPP client base into new sectors, in addition to: -
a. Prospecting new clients and upselling into lapsed accounts where necessary
b. Update the CRM system with appropriate client communications, sales opportunities and future actions
c. Attending client sites to fulfil or assist in the fulfilment of DPP’s contractual obligations
d. Writing up notes, reports and other documents as required to follow up on account management calls/meetings
e. Provide a readily available interface into the consultancy team to ensure DPP customer requirements are met.
f. Be the expert and primary point of contact for chosen sector(s)
Main Responsibilities:
1. Operating as the new business lead & point of contact for all matters specific to your allocated customers.
2. Outbound Sales calls to build the DPP brand and raise awareness within new sectors.
3. Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships
4. To develop customer relationships within new sectors
5. To provide excellent customer service to new and existing clients where necessary, driving forward outbound company communication to DPP clients
6. To promptly follow-up on customer queries, requirements or actions.
7. To plan and utilise time efficiently and effectively.
8. To positively contribute to the development of the company and its services.
9. Act always with integrity and confidentiality and do nothing which brings the company or any of its employees or agents into disrepute.
10. Any other relevant duties as agreed from time to time.




Person Specification:
Essential
1. Self-motivated & driven to proactively prospect within new sectors.
2. Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation, including board executives.
3. Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
4. Excellent verbal and written communications skills
5. Being a team player is essential.
6. Willingness to learn.
Desirable
1. Proven work experience within a sales role, or other relevant experience
2. Experience with the US cloud CRM Salesforce
3. Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.

Package
Salary:
Between £23,000 and £27,000 basic salary and an OTE take home pay of over £40,000
