UHDB Pharmacy Department is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 senior pharmacy technician to work within the Finance and Information team.

The post holder will work within the ever-evolving area of the pharmacy department and key deliverables include supporting the electronic prescribing pharmacists and wider project team in the transition between electronic prescribing systems as part of the paper-lite agenda.

They will also be responsible for general Pharmacy IT system amendments, support with stock control, support end user training and deputise for the Chief Technician where appropriate.

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual that possesses good communication skills. You must hold a NVQ Level 3 or BTec in Pharmacy science. Full training support on all system used will be provided.

We will support the successful candidate to maintain any competence gain and support in gain relevant qualifications to support this post.



Assists in the management and maintenance of the Pharmacy Stock Control and Finance Computer System, Cancer prescribing system and the Trust New EPR system.

Assist with the management and maintenance of the Pharmacy and Trust automation systems.

Assists in the management of the Pharmacy stock checking and reporting process

Produce reports for Pharmacy Managers/Directorate Pharmacists detailing drug usage and expenditure

Required to work on rota bases between RDH and QHB sites.
