Summary


The Staff Bank at Homerton Healthcare is a pool of temporary staffing used as and when required to fill gaps across the organisation. We consider our Staff Bank workers to be an integral part of our success and have recently increased our bank rate to support our bank workers! We are proud of them and the contribution they make to help ensure we provide safe and effective care to our patients.

One of the benefits of being on our Staff Bank is that you can enjoy the flexibility of choosing where you want to work and the roles you undertake. Please note shifts are throughout Monday to Friday only.

As a Staff Bank Worker, you can choose from a range of potential opportunities which vary between Band 2 to Band 4 bank roles, including:
• Receptionists
• Administrators
• Medical Secretary
• HR or IT Admin Support
• Admin support in Healthcare Records
• Other ad-hoc admin roles across a range of clinical and non-clinical services

Many of our permanent staff have started on our Staff Bank and there are opportunities to apply for permanent positions.

To start your journey on Staff Bank with Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be confident in dealing with a range of customers playing a crucial role in providing great customer service.

We are looking to recruit administrators who share and consistently demonstrate our Trust Values. Your duties will vary dependent on the role and could include:
• Dealing with enquiries in person and over the telephone
• Welcoming visitors and acting as first point of contact on reception
• Booking patients for appointments and preparing notes for clinics
• To produce various types of correspondence i.e. letters, emails using Microsoft Office Packages and through audio typing
• Scanning, filing and retrieving of paperwork including medical records
• General data inputting on various systems
• To support various members within the team
