What you'll do

As a Regulatory Solutions Manager, you’ll support high quality assurance reviews of the prudential regulatory reporting being led by other team members. You’ll provide independent and objective assurance for the Group on the accuracy and completeness of regulatory reporting outcomes and calculations. You’ll also build and manage collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across Finance and Technology.

Day-to-day, you'll be:

  • Supporting the regulatory assurance reviews within the team by extracting data from core systems and building models for reperformance of regulatory calculations
  • Mapping out current regulatory rules and internal interpretations and translating these into code or workflows using appropriate tooling
  • Developing algorithms to support regulatory reporting assurance team activity, driving and influencing improvements both within the team and for stakeholders
  • Leading and undertaking key aspects of assurance reviews, making sure that work is delivered on time and is fit for purpose, as well as providing reliable evidence to support issues and opinions

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with excellent working knowledge of data analytics and tooling in a finance environment. You’ll have a risk or regulatory background and knowledge of associated reporting. We’ll also expect you to develop an in depth knowledge of regulatory rules and reporting and the ability to build this in appropriate assurance tooling, which you will become a subject matter expert in.

A professional accounting qualification would be beneficial but is not essential as would be knowledge of Python, Alteryx, Amazon S3 or Tableau, and a strong personal drive and willingness to learn these would be an advantage.

In addition, you'll need:

  • Technical knowledge of regulatory reporting, prudential regulations and the associated reporting outcomes, especially COREP
  • The ability to analyse and interpret complex information, provide appropriate challenge and make sound judgements and recommendations in a collaborative manner
  • Knowledge of SQL, SAS and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking skills, enabling you to cut through complexity, and make sound decisions
