Summary


We’re looking for an exceptional Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our MSK Team on a musculoskeletal (MSK) rotation. This band 5 Rotation is able to offer newly registered physiotherapists who have a specialist interest in MSK, a range of clinical experiences. The main rotations are of 6 months duration and cover the following specialisms:
• MSK Physiotherapy
• MSK Hand Therapy
• MSK Biomechanics
• MSK Continence Physiotherapy

The successful a candidate will provide a high quality, patient centred and innovative service, assisting the team with the treatment of patients with a wide range of MSK conditions across the 4 specialisms.

We provide comprehensive in-service training as part of our Preceptorship programme for newly qualified staff, as well as peer supervision and dedicated slots for more experienced staff.

Flexible hours are an option for this role. Some weekend and evening working is required. Work bases will vary on need across the Norwich, South and West Norfolk localities.

To contribute in the delivery of high standards of health care to patients with MSK conditions in clinics, by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating packages of care.

Formulate and execute individualised management and treatment plans for patients with MSK conditions, in collaboration with other agencies and the patient, utilising a range of treatment skills within the specialisms of MSK Physiotherapy, MSK Hand Therapy, Continence and Biomechanics.

Assessments and treatments will take the form of face to face or virtual consultations to enhance patient access to our services

To work with all health care professionals and statutory/non statutory agencies to provide a seamless integrated service to our services users.

Work when needed in a variety of locations to meet the needs of the service.

The MSK clinical team comprises of Orthopaedic Clinical Specialists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Podiatrists and MSK Assistant Practitioners. We also provide First Contact Practitioners from within our overall MSK structure. We work out of various venues, including; health centres; GP surgeries; community hospitals; and leisure centres. During the pandemic we have also been undertaking telephone, video and face to face consultations.

To undertake comprehensive specialist assessment of musculoskeletal patients with a variety of musculoskeletal presentations using clinical reasoning skills and inform the development of a differential diagnosis. Assessments and treatments will take the form of face to face or virtual consultations to enhance patient access to our services
