Your new role
As a Residential Child Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of these resilient children. Your primary focus will be on their well-being, development, and safety. Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Support and Guidance: You'll be a trusted mentor, offering emotional support and guidance to children who have faced trauma and adversity. Your compassionate presence will make a world of difference.
  • Creating a Safe Haven: Our homes provide a secure environment where children can heal and thrive. You'll ensure their safety, comfort, and emotional stability.
  • Empowering Independence: As children transition out of Secure Units, you'll help them build life skills, boost self-esteem, and foster independence. From cooking meals to managing daily routines, your role is pivotal.
  • Collaboration: You'll work closely with social workers, therapists, and educators to create personalised care plans. Teamwork is essential in our mission to empower these young hearts.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Patience: Understanding that healing takes time and progress is measured in small victories.
  • Resilience: The ability to handle challenging behaviours with empathy and grace.
