Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a caring, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team on ward 3 at Goole Hospital.

We are a small team of Nurses and Multi Disciplinary professionals who provide medical care and physical rehabilitaion for patients from the local area and further afield. The role involves team working with like-minded colleagues to provide high standards of care to patients who are recovering from extended hospital stays or serious illness. From assisting with basic hygiene needs and nutrition to working with our physio team to get patients back on their feet and home again, we aim to support our patients to meet their potential and improve their quality of life in the short and the long term.

The role involves shift work through 24 hours, 365 days a year as the ward is always full, but we all work together to ensure that the workload is shared appropriately. Training is available and encouraged for anyone hoping to improve their knowledge and skills.

Goole hospital is ideally situated near to major road links and has great access to York, Hull, Leeds, Doncaster, all under an hours drive away. Car parking on site is plentiful and the local Train station is mere minutes away.

Physical, psychological and emotional care of medical patients; assisting with all activities of daily living.

Working with Nurses and other MDT colleagues, Student and other support staff.

Housekeeping, stock control and support to domestic staff.

Communication with all patients, families and staff.
