Located in Lancashire, close to the Lake District, North Yorkshire Moors and Yorkshire Dales, Ribble Valley is a beautiful rural area which includes market towns and picturesque villages and a large part of the Forest of Bowland Area National Landscape.
The combination of such an attractive area and proximity to large urban areas in Lancashire present an interesting and challenging mix of planning issues.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced planner to join a multi-disciplinary team dealing with planning policy, housing, economic development, and community partnerships. You will lead in the preparation and adoption of the Council’s new Local Plan and associated planning policy documents.
You will receive and respond as appropriate to written, telephone and face to face enquiries regarding the Local Plan and other planning policy documents. You must have a recognised town planning, or similar, qualification and knowledge of current planning legislation and guidance.
