Job Title: Semi-Formal Curriculum & Assessment Lead (Class Teacher)

Location: Stretton Shires School, Stretton, Rutland

Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm

Contract: Permanent; Term Time only

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Semi-Formal Curriculum & Assessment Lead (Class Teacher) to join our close-knit team.

About the role

To provide a high quality education service for our pupils in accordance with company policies, procedures and practices and the standards set by the Regulatory Body. To work with the Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher, leadership team and other stakeholders to secure high standards throughout the school.

Key task and responsibilities

To plan, deliver and teach individual pupils or small groups, in accordance with the School’s Curriculum framework and related policies.
To lead the strategic curriculum vision for the semi-formal curriculum group.
To lead on the monitoring, recording, and reporting of pupil progress across the whole school.
To contribute to and help implement developments that relate to the School Development Plan.
Develop and implement policies and practices for the areas directed by the Headteacher.
To promote, in line with company policies, the physical, educational, and moral development of the pupils.
Qualifications Required:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Relevant experience in the specialist area of service i.e. relevant experience of working with young people/young adults with Autistic Spectrum Disorders and/or challenging behaviours and moderate to severe learning disabilities
Experience of delivering accredited study (e.g. Gateway Qualifications)
Experience of managing pupil progress data management systems e.g. Evidence for Learning
Experience of Ofsted procedures / inspections
