Summary


An opportunity has arisen for a consultant in Orthopaedics. The job is a part time post comprising of 7 Programmed Activities (PAs), based at Frimley Park hospital, but with the opportunity to work across all of Frimley Health’s sites. The successful post holder will be expected to see new patients as well as operating on patients from the waiting list. The post holder will be expected to work 1:4 Saturdays and will take part in the 1:13 on-call rota as well as provide extra fracture clinic sessions to increase capacity when needed.

To provide a full trauma and orthopaedic service with a special interest in knee surgery, predominantly for the local catchment population.

The appointee should demonstrate training and continued interest in the management of major trauma.

There will be access to a medical secretary and an office.

The basis of the post is 7 programmed activities. The post holder will be expected to see new patients as well as operating on patients from the waiting list.
