Summary
SWIFT childcare apprenticeship is an award winning apprenticeship provider established over 10 years ago now. Pillar Box Montessori Gardens- Their principal aim is to provide a happy, holistic, caring and secure environment for children from birth to 5 years. Their structured pre-school programme is designed to stimulate and enhance each child’s educational and social development providing an excellent foundation for school and later life. They are committed to providing the highest standard of childcare possible. The premises have been carefully designed to create a secure and stimulating environment for children. Each room has its own unique character, carefully and creatively planned to provide children with opportunities for work, rest and play throughout the year. Both nurseries are each organised by age groups so that rooms, toys, equipment, food, rest and routines meet the needs of the individual child. They are here to offer our experiences and expertise to enable each child to have a happy, fun-filled time with us. Their ambition is to lay the basis of quality care and learning in children to enable in-creased knowledge and development to be continuous throughout their life.
The main responsibilities of this job role will include:
* Working towards Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
* Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
* Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns whilst having fun.
* Being a team player.
* Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children
* Taking part in First Aid training as required
* Responsibility for equal opportunity in delivery, access and attitude in aspects of service delivery
* Working with teams across the nursery setting
* Supporting children’s learning and development.
* Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children.
* Preparation of food for breakfast, snack and afternoon tea.
* Supporting children’s self-help needs.
* Being creative and enthusiastic.
* Following Safeguarding rules and regulations to also meet the Standard of the Childcare Apprenticeship.
Level 3 Early Years Educator - Your apprenticeship will last for 13 months. You will be supported by an assessor throughout your apprenticeship, as well as a mentor within the nursery. You will be working full time in the nursery. Your classroom days will be based online as a remote session which you will need to be fully available for, and your main childcare apprenticeship work will be done in a nursery local to you.
You will need to have been living in the UK for a minimum of 3 years and hold Maths and English GCSE at Grace C/4 or above or equivalent Functional Skills at Level 2.
