Summary
The CareTech Group are currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team. This diverse role is integral to the Finance Department and offers a great opportunity playing a key role supporting the GMAT in providing monthly management accounts that are accurate and completed within reporting deadlines.
This position will provide the successful candidate with opportunities to gain broad and valuable experience within the finance function of a fast paced growth business. The role will challenge the breadth of the candidate’s competencies ranging from technical skills to softer communication skills.
Responsibilities of the Role:
Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, the role of the successful candidate will undertake the following duties but not limited to:
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts & supporting information for month end close, calculating month end accruals, posting prepayments releases
- Reviewing and posting journals from the divisional finance leads
- Balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals and prepayments
- Sales purchase ledger
- Assisting with year-end process and annual audit
- Inter-company posting & reconciliation
- Maintain & reconcile fixed assets register including preparing & posting depreciation/amortisation journals
- reconciliation of control accounts
- Bank reconciliations
Essential
- Part-Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or planning to study
- Good Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Team player with willingness to help others and go above and beyond their formal role
- Exercises the utmost discretion when dealing with confidential information
- Analytical mindset
- Keen attention to detail

Qualifications:
Studying ACCA/CIMA/AAT
