Job Title: Occupational Therapist Grade: Band 5/6 Ward/Dept: Highfield Unit Location: Warneford Hospital, Warneford Lane, Oxford, OX3 7JX Trust: Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust Hours: 37.5 hours Monday-Friday (includes some weekends, evenings and school holiday periods.) Shift Pattern: 9:00-17:00 (Flexible working pattern available) Pay Rate: £17.69 - £21.80 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist for the Highfield Unit based in Warneford Hospital. We are seeking a candidate who is able to supply specialist services to young people with mental health problems. Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust provides physical, mental health and social care across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Swindon, Wiltshire, Bath and North East Somerset. Their services are delivered across the community in hospitals, clinics, community bases and in patients homes, as they focus on delivering care as close to home as possible. The post holder will be responsible for providing assessments, treatments and evaluation processes for referred patients whilst partnering with colleagues to enable continuity of care. In managing your own caseload there will be responsibility to work collaboratively for treatment programmes and discharge plans which will regularly be re-evaluated in order to transition patients through stages of their care. The role requires the development and maintenance of relevant therapeutic activities as appropriate to the patient group served, including opportunities for cognitive, creative, education, work, leisure, interpersonal and life skills. There will be a requirement to be able to work flexibly across the service, through weekends, evening and outside of school term-time. To be successful in applying for this role you will need: Current relevant professional registration Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience Enhanced DBS UK/NHS experience Experience of supervising staff Working knowledge of CAMHS services or Adult in-patient & community services Experience working with young people with ASD and knowledge of sensory integration assessments.
