About the role

Title – Retail Security officer

Pay Rate – £13.16 p/h

Location – Limborough Road

Shift Timings – Part time 27 hours PW need to do overtime if possible.



You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.such as food/drink, clothing and homeware items. As a security officer, your main role is to ensure the safety and security of both staff and visitors alike, by staying vigilant to any suspicious activity, follow ASCONE to ensure shoplifting is kept to a minimum, and deliver customer service to those who visit the store.

Your main responsibilities may include:

Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.
Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.
Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.
To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.
To ensure check calls are being carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).
To call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

SIA License.
Minimum of 6 months experience in security is preferred.
Basic knowledge of computers.
5-year checkable work/career history.
Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
Possess the ability to work under pressure.
