Summary
Job Title: EXPERIENCED CNC Setters NIGHT SHIFT
Location: Coventry
Salary: £34,000
Hours: Monday to Thursday 6pm 6am
Our Coventry based client are a supplier to the aerospace and defence industries for over 40 years, specialising in producing precision components. They work with a range of materials including brass, aluminium, mild and chromium steels to Inconel and stainless steels.
They are looking for a CNC Turner & CNC Miller
Duties will include:
⦁ Continuation of production of parts already setup and ran during the day
⦁ Carrying out setting and tooling adjustments to ensure production continues without interruption during the night
⦁ Interpretation of drawings and 3D digital files
⦁ Carry out inspection of your work (CMM and Manual)
⦁ Maintain clean and tidy stations.
⦁ Produce work of a high standard by adhering to quality standards to ensure that product is produced to agreed specifications.
⦁ Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues to promote successful teamwork.
Experience Required
⦁ Time served / equivalent experience in a precision machining company
⦁ Competent in heidenhain controls
⦁ Competent in inspecting own work using CMMs and gauges to verify product quality
⦁ Conversant with Mikron and YCM machinery (Preferable)
⦁ Strong understanding of Fanuc programs with ability to edit, re-run tools etc.
⦁ Able to move offsets
⦁ Conversant with Hardinge, Lynx and Doosan Lathes (Preferable)
⦁ Working to tight tolerances
⦁ Experience of working with a wide range of materials including mild steels, brass, bronzes, aluminium, plastics, super duplex etc.
