Summary
Job Title: Production Supervisor (Engineering biased)
Location: Birmingham
Salary: 30k pa depending on experience
Hours: **** 6.30am -4.45pm Monday & Tuesday, with half hour lunch 1.00-1.30pm.
6.30am-5pm Wednesday & Thursday, with half hour lunch 1.00-1-30pm
Our Client is a leading metal spinning company, based in Birmingham, in which a new vacancy has arisen for a Production Supervisor. The company has been established for 75 years and has been successful in developing a solid customer base servicing a number of varied industries.

**Job Role **
To ensure smooth running/efficiency of production operations on the shop floor to achieve productivity targets combined with daily review of time sheets and route cards against live productions times. Regularly review operations with a view to continual improvement of production.
Be able to consider existing manufacturing practices and implement change where necessary.
Communicate with staff to ensure that they also consider improvements and notify management accordingly.
Be able to manage/monitor staff performance/any required discipline, with regular meetings to assess and discuss their performance.
Ensure all training is undertaken with a view to increase skills where possible.
Maintain and, where possible, improve quality standards. Ensure all inspections are performed and if a quality concern is raised then identify and carry out inspections.
Ensure that NCR records are filled out and maintained, follow through with corrective and preventative actions.
Set out and achieve quality targets.
Ensure all processes are performed safely and within company H&S guidelines.
Ensure all staff work in a safe manner using the required PPE.

The position offers a competitive salary of £30,000 plus profit share and Life Insurance after 12 months continual service, Auto Enrol pension in line with current legislation.

* Problem solving with engineering background.
* Good knowledge and proven experience of MS Office/ mainly Excel.
