Responsibilities:- Safely operate a car or van to transport goods, packages, or equipment to various locations in a timely manner within the Birmingham area.- Maintain high standards of customer service when delivering goods and communicating with clients.- Plan and follow designated routes provided by the company, ensuring efficient and accurate delivery to the correct destinations.- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, and practice safe driving techniques at all times.- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure that it is in good working order and report any possible issues to the supervisor.- Load and unload items from the vehicle carefully while paying attention to fragile items.- Keep accurate records of deliveries, including times, distances travelled, and any incidents that may occur.- Communicate effectively with the Dispatch team to provide updates on delivery progress.Qualifications:- Hold a valid UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.- Proven experience and a strong track record as a Car/Van Driver is highly preferred.- Excellent knowledge of Birmingham's local area and surrounding regions, including a good understanding of local traffic patterns.- Good physical fitness for the loading and unloading of goods, sometimes requiring heavy lifting.- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously.- Great communication skills to liaise with customers and colleagues in a professional manner.- A polite and friendly demeanor, demonstrating exceptional customer service when representing our client's company.- Flexibility in working hours, as there may be a need for occasional overtime depending on business demands.Pay Rate: £12.00 per hourIf you are an enthusiastic Car/Van Driver with a passion for providing top-notch customer service and driving safely, Workchain wants to hear from you!
