Job purpose:I am a young man with Autism who seeking a PA to support me to remain independent and access the community. I currently do not go anywhere without my family and I would like a PA who can accompany me outside of the house for social and leisure activities, such as going to football matches. I do not have a strong awareness of safety and require someone who will supervise me closely when out and about.I am not a shy person, and I will talk to anybody, but I do struggle with social boundaries. Someone who can support me to better understand these boundaries would be ideal.It would also be beneficial to have a PA who can support me to be more active and engage in activities such as going for walks along the beach at Hunstanton.I am a chatty young man with a good sense of humour, who is very caring. I can however be stubborn at times and require someone with a strong character who can put firm boundaries in place. I would also like someone who is friendly, whom I can build a good rapport with.

I require someone for up to 14 hours per week, the hours of which will be on a flexible basis and worked between the days of Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday. The exact times and dates are negotiable at interview.Location: PE34

Summary terms and conditions:
  • The rate of pay for this position is £13 per hour
  • You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role
  • Free Care Skills training available to all employed workers
  • Hours and days of work: up to 14 hours per week on a flexible basis. The hours will be worked over days of Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday. The exact times and days are negotiable at interview.
The post is subject to the following:
  • If this job requires: manual Handling, handling of hazardous chemicals or food handling, you will be required to undertake annual training.
  • A satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
  • Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
  • Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months
