Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our esteemed client in North Ferriby. This is a temporary position within the driving industry, providing an excellent opportunity for experienced individuals. Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles to deliver goods and products to assigned destinations in a timely manner.2. Conduct pre and post journey vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects promptly.3. Adhere to all relevant traffic laws and regulations, including tachograph and driver hours legislation.4. Handle paperwork accurately, including delivery notes, manifests, and relevant documentation.5. Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach when liaising with clients and customers.6. Demonstrate solid knowledge of road networks, routes, and traffic conditions to plan efficient and effective journeys.7. Assist with loading and unloading goods as required, ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines.8. Take responsibility for the overall care and cleanliness of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.Qualifications:1. Valid HGV Class 2 driving license with a maximum of 6 penalty points and no major endorsements.2. Full CPC certification with a valid digital tachograph card.3. Previous experience in HGV Class 2 driving, preferably within a similar role or industry.4. Excellent understanding of tachograph regulations, road traffic laws, and safety procedures.5. Strong communication skills, able to interact effectively with clients, customers, and colleagues.6. A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational demands.7. Physically fit and capable of manual handling, including loading and unloading goods.8.
