Seth is a healthy 15 year old boy. Like most teenage boys he is boisterous, mischievous, active and fascinatingly unique.
He has cognitive learning difficulties, has a diagnosis of Autism, Downs Syndrome, Hypothyroidism and is non-verbal. He also uses sanitary pads. His needs are complex and has behaviour issues.
He also has an infectious personality and a loving nature. He's happy to help in any household chores.

The right candidate would be required to entertain Seth in various activities which he enjoys.
Seth likes water and enjoys swimming at the local swimming baths. He cannot swim and must be constantly held (by his hand) while in the water which must be no more than neck deep.
He likes to ride his bike. preferably on the local park or area where there won't be any traffic. Again, the right candidate must stay close enough to stop and steer.
He's happy outdoors on a swing where he can stay for quite some time.
He likes to listen to YouTube music through his headphones, especially while swinging, and watch YouTube videos.
He's happy in the car and a good traveller. He can be entertained at home or in the local community.

The carer must be physically fit and assist in in any dysregulation in a calm and confident manner. The carer must be aware of any situations or activities which may cause dysregulation. The carer must be experienced in the process of de-escalation of anxiety confidently and with as little restraint as possible. Seth must never be left alone and should be monitored at all times. The carer must be aware of any potential dangers.
The carer will be expected to change his sanitary pad if necessary. He will have a fresh pad on collection and a changing bag will be provided.

Seth has a PA allowance of 4 hours per week and 8 hours per week during school holidays. These hours can be flexible during allotted times and the carer must be able to fulfil all hours the best they can.
